Madara Dias

RESEARCH ASSISTANT (UNIVERSITY)

Madara is completing her Masters degree in MHR program at UofM.

Madara Dias is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Human Rights under the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba, Canada. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.

Madara has served as a Graduate Research Assistant and an Associate Course Coordinator in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She is also a certified drug counsellor in Sri Lanka.

Her research interests focus on children, youth, women, and issues related to gender discrimination. Currently, she is completing an internship at the Conflict and Resilience Research Institute, Canada (CRRIC), as part of the requirements for her Master’s program.
