CRRIC OFFERS

PRACTICUM

CRRIC offers practicum to students studying in Canadian graduate and post graduate educational institutions. Its 5 main research areas are:

  1. Statelessness and mass migration;
  2. International conflict resolution and peacebuilding;
  3. Youth extremism and community-focused counter radicalization intervention in Canada and global South;
  4. Education in emergencies (refugee camps);
  5. UN peacekeeping operations.

CRRIC has partnered with academic institutions in Bangladesh to place students who can benefit from real time learning on the ground. It believes practicum as an interface between education and real time experience on subject matter – learning by doing. Within the overall practicum support, it assists students in developing:

  1. Understanding organizational structures
  2. Critical thinking and analytical skills; analysis of complex problems
  3. Oral/written communication
  4. Research and interpretation skills
  5. Ability to meet deadlines; self-reliance; time management, independent work
  6. Leadership skills

During this program, students are expected to continually strive to make a positive contribution and leave a remarkable impression as opportunities could arise (whether sooner or later) to grow professionally with CRRIC. This is an unpaid volunteer work.
