1. Capacity Building
We aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of Rohingya refugees through a variety of training programs. These include:
- Life Skills Training: Equipping individuals with essential skills for daily living, such as communication, problem-solving, and financial literacy.
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support: Providing counseling and support services to address mental health issues and promote emotional well-being.
- Basic Photography Training: Teaching photography skills to document their experiences and express their creativity.
- Advocacy on Human Rights and Leadership Skills: Conducting workshops to educate refugees about their rights and develop leadership abilities, empowering them to advocate for their community.
2. Women Empowerment
We focus on empowering women through various initiatives designed to enhance their skills, knowledge, and leadership potential:
- Vocational Training Sessions: Offering training in skills such as sewing, weaving, handicrafts, and food processing to provide
income-generating opportunities. - Literacy and Education Programs: Conducting basic literacy and numeracy classes to empower women with essential educational skills.
- Leadership Workshops: Organizing workshops to build confidence, communication skills, and leadership abilities among women.
- Health and Hygiene Awareness Sessions: Facilitating sessions on reproductive health, maternal care, sanitation, and disease prevention to promote women’s health and well-being.
- Gender-Based Violence Prevention Workshops: Conducting workshops to raise awareness about gender-based violence and provide information on support services
- Women’s Support Groups: Establishing support groups where women can share experiences, provide emotional support, and address common challenges.
- Community Engagement Activities: Encouraging women’s participation in community decision-making processes to ensure their voices are heard.
- Cultural and Recreational Activities: Organizing cultural events, art workshops, and recreational activities tailored to women’s interests.
- Capacity Building Programs: Providing programs on vocational literacy, legal rights, and advocacy skills to empower women with knowledge and information.
- Advocacy and Awareness
We aim to amplify the voices of Rohingya refugees and raise awareness about their rights through various advocacy and awareness activities:
- Workshops to Educate Refugees About Their Rights: Conducting workshops to inform refugees about their rights under international law, refugee policies, and local regulations.
- Establishing Legal Aid Clinics: Setting up clinics within the refugee camps to provide free legal advice, assistance with documentation, and representation in legal proceedings.
- Organizing Gender-Based Violence Prevention Campaigns: Running campaigns to raise awareness about gender-based violence and promote prevention strategies.
- Facilitating Community Dialogues and Focus Groups: Holding dialogues and focus group discussions to identify priority advocacy issues and develop collective strategies.
- Providing Advocacy Training Sessions: Offering training on effective communication, negotiation skills, and strategic planning for advocacy campaigns.
Establishing Monitoring and Reporting Mechanisms: Setting up mechanisms to monitor human rights violations and report them to relevant organizations for investigation and response
