M. Ashraful Alam
Senior Research AssociateM. Ashraful Alam is an educator, researcher, and urban planner with more than 18 years of experience in post-secondary teaching, research, and community engagement. He teaches environmental studies, sustainability, and human and physical geography at the University of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba, and the International College of Manitoba. His research interests include climate change adaptation, environmental planning, Indigenous and community-based research, food security, geographic information systems (GIS), and sustainable community development. He has contributed to numerous interdisciplinary research projects involving Indigenous communities, climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and food sovereignty, while mentoring students and supporting community initiatives across Manitoba.
